For the launch of our new iPad App,
we decided to design these promo
cards that highlight the App's key
features. Since the App provides four
different cover options, we decided to
make a set of these cards, all with
the same info on the back.

Date:10/12/10

Along with Art Director Jill Sabato, I conceptualized a packaging idea for
a room drop for Issey Miyake. The components were: a perfume sample,
a pamphlet, and a letter from our publisher--each custom-written per
hotel. These dropped in three different hotels around the country.

All three elements were placed in a
muslin bag that we had stamped. We really loved getting these together.

For the different Top Ten categories on sundancechannel.com, sometimes when no photo is provided, there is a number graphic there to remind you where you are in the list of things that you are browsing.

I layered different textures and the font /colors being used on the site to make these realistic graphics.

Masters Workshop: Summer 2010
Design History, Theory and Practice in Venice and Rome.
Spend two weeks studying visual communication, specifically typography, in Venice and Rome, the birthplace of Western typographic tradition. Study with the best typographers in Italy. Visit the Trajan Column, the Pantheon and the Arch of Titus. Examine inscriptions on Roman buildings and monuments that have long been a typographic ideal.

This workshop in design history, theory and practice is an intensive period of study that enables students to research and analyze the roots of typography, draw type and letters from the classic models while practicing contemporary design with Italian and American designers and design historians.

The Masters Workshop fosters multidisciplinary design—through immersion—in architecture, art, literature, and even cuisine. Collaborations with Italian design organizations and businesses will result in unique projects and products.

The first week is in Venice and the second week is in Rome.
