Golf for Women Magazine, 2008

During the summer of 2008, I worked
at two Condé Nast magazines in New York, Golf for Women and Golf World, where I conceptualized and designed page layouts and created several illustrations, email signatures and promotional materials.

Right before these were going to get published, Golf for Women folded. I continued interning at Golf World.

Senior Thesis Catalog, 2009

This is the Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition Catalog. The text written on the cover is the opening sentence to the Exhibition Coordinator's statement about the show, which continues on the inside flap and on the back.

I worked with another designer, Aura Seltzer, on this project. Together we conceptualized the design, typography and color palette. Inside ths flaps are sets of perforated postcards. Each student has his/her own postcard with their work displayed on the front and their artist statement on the back.

GQ Custom Hybrids, 2011-

Part of my job at GQ is to come up with concepts for advertisers to buy into the magazine. We design pages that vary from basic laydown shots to big custom muti-page sections that require a bigger photoshoot with models and celebrities.

GQ Design Group (GQDG) prides itself
on delivering high quality original photography and 360 degree programs that often include event, digital, and social extensions. These are just a few examples of sections that have been
done for advertisers. My team is involved from the brainstorm all the way to the production.

Penn Review Magazine, 2009

After receiving all the content from
the editor-in-chief, I designed the
cover art and the template for this publication. This meant picking out typefaces, setting up grids to form
the layout, and making sure all the photographs were the correct format (CMYK) for a 4 color processing printing press.

I also had to pick out the right type of paper with the idea that we needed
to get the maximum amount of copies with our small budget.

AM New York Cover Wrap 05/13/11

In order to promote the NY container screenings for the Character Project
short films,
I designed the cover wrap
for Friday's AM New York issue. This included the times/locations of the screenings and brief intro to CP, as
well as the movie posters and short descriptions of each short.

Character Project Program, 2011

USA partnered with RSA Films and Ridley
& Tony Scott to once again turn a lens on America's characters, this time through
the medium of the moving image. There were two VIP Screenings of the Character Project short films, in LA and NY, and I
did all the print/some digital collateral for the event.

These screening programs were handed out to the audience at these screenings and will be handed out at the container screenings around the US as well. This is only one spread of the booklet.

Reminiscence Book, 2008

This book is a compilation of ‘journal entries’ written from memory on family trips that I can remember. Since it is based on memory, entries are very fragmented and contain several typos. The book was typed using a 1980s IBM Personal Wheelwriter Electric Typewriter. It was great!

The size of the book was determined from the maximum size paper the machine can hold. Each entry is written in the form of the country where the trip is taking place, thus creating a new and distorted map based on memory.
